With over 35 years of experience in the beauty industry, my career has been shaped by expertise, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
I began my journey with the same passion many therapists start with—but without the guidance or support needed to truly thrive. Navigating the industry alone gave me a deep understanding of the challenges that come after qualification, and it’s this experience that has defined my path ever since.
Over the years, I have achieved my Level 4 qualifications and progressed to become a qualified Assessor, Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), and External Quality Assurer (EQA). My career has spanned both industry and education at the highest level—from running my own successful clinic to leading as Head of Department within a Hair and Beauty training centre. I have also worked across Wales with City & Guilds as an External Quality Assurer, giving me a unique and comprehensive perspective on both training standards and real-world industry expectations.
Despite these achievements, what has always remained at the core of my work is a genuine passion for people.
I know first-hand that talent alone is not enough to build a successful career in this industry—it requires confidence, guidance, and a deeper understanding of how to grow beyond qualifications.
This is why I created The Beauty Mentor.
